Welcome to the Prague.bio Conference 2024, the second year of a full-day biotech conference for start-ups, industrial partners, investors, researchers, and other biotech experts from Central Europe. This year, the event will take place on September 24, 2024, at the Empire Hall in Slovanský dům, Prague 1.

PRELIMINARY PROGRAM
The pitch session will offer a showcase of 10 - 15 promising startups from Central Europe, focusing on the development of new drugs, diagnostics, and other medical technologies. The pitch session will be closely monitored by a jury composed of experienced investors, who will announce the three best presentations.

Prague.bio Conference 2024 will offer two keynote speakers: Christian A. Stein, CEO of Ascenion, GmbH and Petr Jansa, the co-founder of Pallando Therapeutics, Head of Chemistry at BridGene Biosciences or Advisor for the California Life Sciences FAST program.

This year will also feature a panel discussion with representatives of investment funds who are involved in investing in Life Sciences. The discussion will include approximately five speakers who will attempt to show what is necessary for a scientific project to attract potential investors.

The second edition of the Prague.bio Conference will once again feature a panel discussion with representatives of law firms who specialize in intellectual property. Last year, the IP discussion was among the most acclaimed parts of the program, and we believe it will be the same this time.

Participants of the Prague.bio Conference can look forward to a poster session, which will feature a showcase of approximately twenty Czech and international scientific projects and startups that are trying to translate innovative ideas from laboratories into practice.

The Prague.bio Conference will take place at the Slovanský dům, located in Prague 1, at Na Příkopě 22.
The conference is scheduled for January 24, 2024. The program is tentatively set to begin at 8:30 AM, with registration opening at 8:00 AM.
To get to Slovanský dům in Prague, you can use various modes of public transportation. The venue is centrally located in Prague 1, making it easily accessible. The nearest metro station is Můstek, which serves both Line A (Green) and Line B (Yellow) of the Prague Metro or Náměstí Republiky (Line B). Additionally, there are multiple tram stops nearby, such as the Jindřišká stop (tram n. 3, 5, 6, 9, 14, 24, 25, 26) or Náměstí Republiky stop (tram n. 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 14, 15, 22, 26), which is a short walk away.
The entrance to the Empire Hall can be found inside Slovanský dům, situated between the cinema ticket counters and the Brasileiro restaurant. This location offers easy access for visitors attending events or functions at the Empire Hall.
If you're planning to arrive by car, it's important to note that parking directly at or near Slovanský dům is not available. However, you can use nearby parking facilities, such as the Parking House under the Kotva shopping center. This parking option provides a convenient and accessible place to leave your vehicle while you attend the event at Slovanský dům. Remember to check the availability and rates of the parking facility in advance.
During the day, lunch and dinner will be provided, along with drinks and light refreshments available throughout the day.
The official program of the Prague.bio Conference 2024 concludes at 6:00 PM, followed by an opportunity for networking. The doors of the conference will officially close at 8:00 PM.
The program of the conference will be conducted in English, and translation into Czech is not provided.

Unfortunately, no recordings of the conference will be available after it concludes.
